Restaurant Manager - Ref 716

Action Recruitment are seeking applicants for the role of Restaurant Manager for our client a luxurious 5 star property in Ulster. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of food & beverage operations and be able to work well under pressure, multi task and have high attention to detail skills. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5 star property is essential. A degree in hospitality management is highly beneficial for this role.

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for: -

• Recruitment, training, and supervising restaurant staff
• Organise and host pre-shift and departmental meetings
• Delegation of work assignments to restaurant staff
• Promote hotel facilities and services through positive interaction with guests
• Find resolutions to problems for all concerned parties
• Coordinate and document telephone reservations
• Organise special events
• Maintain communication with all hotel departments and attend meetings when necessary
• Monitor the restaurant and kitchen areas to ensure that food quality and service standards are met
• Control wage budget and equipment costs to ensure maximization of revenue
• Calculate stock inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring that par stock levels are maintained
• Continually evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of the food & beverage operation
• Develop and implement profit enhancing and cost saving measures
• Create forecasts and revenue reports
• Ensure that cash handling methods are in line with company policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation
• Ensure that staffing levels for each shift are adequate to cope with expected business
• Maintaining cleanliness of all areas of the restaurant, service areas, and room service
• Encourage guest feedback in relation to food, beverages, service, and other ideas that will enhance and improve standards and service
• Maintaining kitchen and restaurant equipment and ensuring that all repairs are carried out in a timely manner
